The owner of this 1917 classic center-hall Colonia The owner of this 1917 classic center-hall Colonial moved to the area from the Pacific Northwest, where her small home made up for its size with unforgettable views and unrelenting sunlight. Now, in her stone Chester County estate, this renovation and new addition aimed to honor the home’s history while replicating the daydreamy feel of her beloved West Coast residence. With that spirit in mind we converted the four-season enclosed patio into a sun-drenched family dining room. #periodarchitecture

This stone house was built in the 1930s in Malvern This stone house was built in the 1930s in Malvern as a reproduction of the original John Bartram House located in Philadelphia at Bartram’s Garden. The Bartram Garden is the oldest surviving botanical garden in North America. John Bartram, well known early American botanist, explorer and plant collector, founded the gardens in September 1728. The Bartram House, a two and a half story Colonial stone house, was built in 1731. Our design added another layer to this 1930s reproduction with an addition and renovation, new pool and gardens. #periodarchitecture
